About Dub’s Mathematics Programme:
Dub’s Mathematics Programme is an NPO founded in June 2018. It offers free Mathematics tutoring to Grade 11 & 12 learners from under-resourced communities in SA who can not afford to hire private tutors.
Currently, we are tutoring over 250 learners from 7 different provinces in South Africa. We use WhatsApp to tutor learners since it is data-friendly compared to platforms like Zoom and it’s accessible to most learners.
We have 21 tutors who are all enrolled at SA universities doing STEM degrees. We also assist learners with Career guidance, in July 2021 we hosted the very first world’s WhatsApp Career Expo.
We had different guests to talk to our learners and answer their questions. In addition to WhatsApp Tutorials, we host winter classes for Grade 11 learners from different schools in my community in KZN, preparing them for Grade 12.
